Cox Communications chief executive Mark Cox says the company plans to move its headquarters from the United States to China in the coming years, according to a report.
In a letter to employees, Cox said the company would expand its headquarters in California and move its operations to Hong Kong in 2018.
The company also plans to expand its services in Europe and Asia, Cox’s chief executive said.
Cox, the world’s largest Internet company by revenue, said last month it would focus on expanding its services outside the U.S. by expanding its customer base to include the Chinese market, where it currently has fewer than 300,000 subscribers.
